NPS 2013 Survey Summary Results for Needham
Parents, students, and staff district wide responded to the NPS Survey in the spring of 2013. The data gathered with this survey are invaluable to the NHS Student and School Councils and the staff and administration as these groups collaborate for the ongoing improvement of NHS. NHS 2013-2016 School Improvement Plan
Developed and adopted in the spring of 2012, the NHS School Improvement Plan (SIP) is the overarching document that guides ongoing instructional and organizational improvement at NHS. The School Council will provide an update of the School Improvement Plan to the School Committee in the spring of 2014. Click the following link for the current SIP:
New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC) Accreditation
The NEASC in the accrediting organization for Needham High School. Every ten years, NHS hosts an evaluation visit from the NEASC. The last evaluation visit to NHS was in the fall of 2009. The next is slated for the fall of 2019. In preparation for each visit, the NHS faculty and staff undergo a 12-18 month self study upon which the evaluation team bases their visit and final report. Between decennial evaluation visits, NHS must report provide the NEASC's Commission on Public Schools with intermittent reports on the successes of and challenges facing the school community.
