The Responsible Use Policy

We are choosing to launch the new Needham Public Schools Responsible Use Policy (RUP) at the high school this spring because we have the capability of providing students with access to the Gmail application within the NPS Google Accounts (Drive, Calendar, and Contacts) that they are currently using.  Incorporating this feature in their existing accounts would enable more efficient communication between teachers and students. ¬†To receive NPS Gmail accounts, students and parents/guardians are being asked to read and sign the new Needham Public Schools Responsible Use Policy (RUP). Please log into the parent PowerSchool account and then proceed to the ‚ÄúUpdate Information‚ÄĚ tab. ¬†

Here is a page with more detailed directions. Please review the policy with your child and indicate your understanding of and agreement with its terms by checking the appropriate boxes.

NHS Parent Email Listserv & Reverse 911 Sign-Up
NHS uses the email as the primary means of school-to-home communication.  We urge all families to sign up for the listserv here, and encourage families to update their contact/email information regularly.  Please visit the parent portal for more links.

NYS Jobs for Youth
Needham Youth Services posts new job opportunities in businesses for youth every Monday here  throughout the school year.

Obtain a Work Permit
Work permits for Needham youth ages 14-17 can be obtained in the Needham High Main Office during the hours listed above.  Please download, read, and complete the Commonwealth's youth work permit application prior to visiting the NHS Main Office during regular office hours.  Working Permit Application.pdf
