WELCOME TO THE NEEDHAM HIGH SCHOOL BOOSTERS CLUB The Needham High School Athletic Booster Club is the only club at the high school that raises money to support all high school athletics. All the money we raise goes directly to We work closely with John Palmer, the Athletic Director, to purchase those items that the teams need but that are not provided for in the athletic department budget. We raise money in four ways. In the fall, we hold our annual door to door NHS Rocket Sticker drive, in which the students take to the Needham neighborhoods with their friends to ask for donations for a NHS Rocket door sticker. This year’s date is Sat. Sept. 29th. We sponsor the annual Christmas Tree Sale at Claxton field. All the athletic teams and parents volunteer for this fun event. We hold a Valentines Day Dance (21+) in February. In the Spring, we host the Basketball All-Star Game with the New England Patriots for the whole community to come and enjoy. Any parent is eligible to be a member of the Booster Club. There are no dues or costs associated with the membership. We meet once per month on the first Thursday at 7:00 pm in the high school cafeteria. We welcome and encourage all parents to attend these meetings and take an active role in providing support to the teams. The Booster Club awards five scholarships each year to seniors who will be attending college. These are given to two males and two female athletes who have participated in any sports activity during high school and the Ron DesRoches Memorial Scholarship is also awarded to a male or female athlete who has also demonstrated an interest in music. High School Students-The role of the Jr. Boosters is to support the Booster Club in fundraising activities and event planning. Please make sure to get your paperwork into Mrs. Ayoub for community service credit. You can be part of this exciting and rewarding club.
