TASK:  You have been asked to produce a picture book of a specific element for the age group of 10-12 years old. You want to teach these children the characteristics of your element. Remember that these kids are young; you wouldn't want to be bored out of your mind, would you?

 REQUIREMENTS:  Your picture book will have 10-12 pages, including cover and images that will reflect your element. Your first task will be to produce a cover page along with a table of contents and bibliography at the end of your book. Make sure that it is in story form!

Needed Information:

• Founder(s) and discovery of the element
• Picture of element ( NOT THE PERIODIC TABLE FORM)
• Periodic Table information, this can include atomic number, mass, weight…etc.
• Where you can find the element and how is it used in life today.
• One image per page, they can be drawings, cartoon images or photos.
• Pictures that are not your own have to be cited*
• You can not simply use stick figures and one color.
• Your picture book must have a descriptive title and each image must have a caption.

Grading: You can earn up to 50 points for this assignment

• 45-50 exceeds expectations
• 35-45 meets expectations
• 25-35 begins to meet expectations
• 25 or less does not meet expectations
